I'm Meri Meloyan, the founder of Pelvica Physical Therapy.

My academic journey in health started with a Bachelor’s in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from UCSB and led me to a Master’s in Physical Therapy at California State University – Long Beach. I've always been passionate about women's health, which drew me to specialize in women’s pelvic health. Continually learning, I've embraced Yoga and Pilates to help with pelvic pain relief.

Deepening my expertise, I'm a Ph.D. candidate in Depth Psychology, specializing in Integrative Therapy and Healing Practices at Pacifica Graduate Institute in California. Depth Psychology explores the unconscious aspects of the psyche, which profoundly influence conscious thoughts and behaviors. It delves into the hidden parts of ourselves, including thoughts, feelings, and memories that are not immediately accessible to our awareness - something crucial for holistic healing. I'm currently conducting a study about women’s lived experience with Primary Vaginismus and am in the process of developing a new holistic treatment approach to treat Vaginismus. Feel free to contact me if you’re curious about this study and/or would like to participate.

I'm also immersed in studying Sexological Bodywork and Somatic Sexology at the Sea School of Embodiment in the UK/Portugal, blending these approaches to offer comprehensive care. My practice is a sanctuary for open dialogue, where I strive to create a warm, empathetic environment, empowering women to embrace their sexual health journey fully. My approach in therapy is deeply personal and caring. I believe in building trust and understanding with every patient, committing myself to enhance women's well-being and connection to the Self.
